TERNATE Also known as “The Island of Spices” by Europe in 1322.
Geography The island of Ternate is one Indonesia’s 17,508 island, an archipelago located Coral Reef Triangle of the equator where the pacific ocean meets. The tropical Indo-Pacific region in which Ternate is collection of Maloko Kie Raha, considered to be on of the world’s richest ecologically biodiverse systems. Ternate is essense a volcanic island with Mount Gamalama, as a great spirit by local people.

Climate Tropical, hot
and hurried. Temperatures range from a high of 31 degree C (88 F) to 25 C
(78 F) low. Dry seasion April – November, Wet seasion : December –
March.
Health No major risk. Unlike islands further east in the archipelagos, there is no Malaria.
Population Religion : 85% Muslim, 10% Christian, however there are also some of the Church, a temple and a klanten.
Currency Indonesian
currency is the Rupiah (IDR). in Ternate Money is easily changed at
banks and official money changing offices. However exchange rates can
fluctuate. ATM machines are readily available and banks will provide
cash withdrawal via the Visa and MasterCard networks.
Visa You will need a
tourist visa to enter Indonesia, which can be issued on arrival at the
airport citizens of most nationalities. A 30-day visa costs US$25.
Passports must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival in Indonesia.

- Departure : 07.30 am for 2 morning dives
- Lunch : 13.00 pm at Maitara/Tidore island or at divesite
- Departure : 15.00 pm for 1 afternoon dive
- Night dive at Depan Kota

As we know that the westerly winds
blowing between September and March, peak in December and January.
Characteristics of the westerly winds that bring rain and blowing hard.
This is causing waves in the waters of Indonesia rose in December and
January. Under these conditions, dive site is located west dipesisir a
direct hit by a west wind, the waves will usually enlarged, and the
water becomes cloudy. It is usually difficult diving conditions.

Visibilty at Ternate
island and surrounding area, depending on weather conditions. the off
shore reefs : 20-40 meters, dive sites at the North & South shore
10-25 meters.
Diveboat : we have
charter/rental long wooden boat specially designed by local community
her or charter speedboat. At the moment we can accommodate a maximum of 4
– 8 divers.
